Last Modified Date: April 28, 2020
Effective Date: May 01, 2020
The RegisterONE cookie policy has been created to explain our cookie and web beacon technology ("Cookies") use on this website. We wish to establish our commitment to transparency and to show you that we respect your data privacy rights by outlining our cookie use practices here. When you first log onto RegisterONE, a notification banner pops up asking you to choose to either allow or deny RegisterONE cookies access to the internet browser of your device. By continuing to use this website you are thereby giving express consent to the use of cookies. This consent can be withdrawn at any time. Cookie management information can be found toward the end of this cookie policy.
The automated cookies and web beacon technologies are used as you interact with the website to collect pertinent information to convey to you the website, applications and features of RegisterONE in a cohesive, readable format. The cookies are stored in the server log files of your internet browser history on your device and might contain information on the type of device used, browser type and version used, screen resolution, operating system used by the accessing system, language, the referrer used, any sub-sites used, a date and time stamp corroborating time of log onto/log off to the website, an Internet protocol address (IP address), the internet service provider of the accessing system, and any or all other similar data and information.
When using this information, RegisterONE aggregates the data to enhance, refine and optimize the functionality of the Applications and Features offered (services), marketing purposes, to protect, enhance and secure the long-term viability of our information technology systems as well as the technology used, and to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for criminal prosecution in case of a cyber-attack, fraudulent activity or other detrimental, damaging harm to the platform.
This cookie policy contains the full use of how personal information and data is shared (including to Third Parties, where applicable) as it pertains to cookies and web beacon technology usage. For more information on our collection and use of this information please go to the Privacy Policy (Link here).
In accordance with current
legislation, (Directive 2009/136 which modified the E-Privacy
Directive 2002/58/EC and the provision-identification of
simplified procedures to give information
and obtain consent to use cookies 8 May 2014.) our site is not
obliged to request consent for technical and analytics cookies,
since these are necessary to provide the services requested.
What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files
of data or information ((character strings) that contain unique
identifiers ((cookie ID) that our Website recognizes when you
log on)). The cookies are stored
directly on your devices internet browser from our website to
differentiate between each unique cookie ID assigned to each
specific individual's device. Cookies are used to help enhance
and improve your experience with
the content and services provided by RegisterONE as well as the
tools, technology and knowledge utilized for optimal website
practices, use and management.
Every time that you visit RegisterONE and access the Applications and Features the Website offers, cookies are used to send or receive information or data through your device (computer, tablet, smartphone, notebook, etc.). The website recognizes that your device contains cookies (which are stored to the internet browser) recording details of your visit. The website then accesses this information to determine your previous activity and interactions to serve up content and preferences based on your previous visit, making the website more user friendly and accessible.
Your web browser can be reconfigured to restrict access or entirely block cookies. This is done by reconfiguring the cookie notification settings on your browser to allow, block and/or to delete cookies already present on the browser or device already in use for Website access. You can find this information on how to do this in the web browser's help/reference section.
Deleting, blocking, limiting or restricting certain types of cookies may prevent a Primary Client or Client Business Contact from accessing and using our Applications and Features. Website functionality is dependent upon how you configure your browser settings. Registration, Badging app, Attendee app, and Lead Retrieval requests and inquiries will be disabled and we will be unable to process and/or complete these requests without cookies. RegisterONE will issue cookies for access to these services to your browser unless you have adjusted the browser setting to restrict, limit or block access with our Applications and Features.
Web Beacon Technologies
Pages in our Applications and e-mails will contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags and single-pixel gifs). Web beacons are embedded on web pages or in emails sent. This technology allows us to track online movements of web users for analytical and statistical purposes only.
Unless blocked, the
cookie(s) that are stored on your device(s) internet browser are
once again recognized, activated and retransmitted to the
Website when you subsequently revisit the
Website.
We Use the Following
Automated Technologies for Data Collection. The Following
Automatic Methods for Data Collection are Not Used to Collect
Information for Marketing Purposes
from Client Business Contacts.
DURATION (How long do they last?)
SESSION COOKIES AND PERSISTENT COOKIES
A "session" cookie is temporary and lasts for a single browser session and expires when the user closes the web browser and ends the session. Session cookies allow a website to link your actions in sequential order for the duration of one browser session from start to finish.
A "persistent" cookie is all the other cookies that are stored on your browser and remain on the user's device (even while powered off) until the cookie expires or is deleted. This erasure is dependent upon the cookie's set expiration date. All persistent cookies have an expiration date written into their code, but their duration and code expiration date can vary from user to user. A persistent cookie will be reactivated when a user returns to the website, and we use persistent cookies to help customize your web experience when you return to a web page or our website (to remember individual preferences).
PROVENANCE (Validation of the source)
First-party cookies - First-party cookies are put on your device directly by the website you are visiting. RegisterONE is the website you log onto, so we are the source of these first party cookies. When you click onto a link and be redirected from RegisterONE to another website, they then become the first party, and so forth.
Third-party cookies - Cookies that are placed on your device, not by the website you are visiting, but by a third party advertiser (Kroger), an analytics system like Google Analytics, or a social network provider (LinkedIn) who allows you to "like" or "share, or to provide and share video content (think Youtube) links). Once you click on any of these links, you will leave the RegisterONE Platform and be redirected to the Third Parties website. Please read the relevant websites terms and conditions, privacy policy, etc., for information on their use of cookies and web beacon technologies.
PURPOSE (What purpose do they serve?)
The three types of
Cookies used on RegisterONE are "Technical, Essential or
Strictly Necessary Cookies", "Preferences and Functionality
Cookies", and
"Statistics, Performance or Anonymous Analytical Cookies"
Technical, Essential or Strictly Necessary Cookies
Cookies that are essential
and necessary for RegisterONE use, optimization and
functionality. Disabling or blocking will impede, reduce or
block access to content and services provided
through this website.
Strictly necessary cookies
are essential for you to move around the website, to use the
primary features of the Applications and to provide the product
and services you have requested. For example, a Client Business
Contact wishes to access a restricted areas of the Website
requiring an authorized, authenticated login credential for
account management (setting preferences, shopping cart
purchases, payment
gateway, analytics, personalize content, etc.). Without a
cookie, this function cannot be performed for the Client
Business Contact.
Cookies can memorize
previous actions (e.g., autofill, etc.) when navigating back to
a page in the same session, manage security tokens for different
services within the Website or to
identify the status of the visitor (e.g., registered or
unregistered), etc.
We cannot provide the
services you may request without these essential cookies
(shopping cart fulfillment, e-billing, etc.).
Preferences and
Functionality Cookies
These cookies can be session
or persistent based, and are usually the result of a user
action, but they can also be implemented when providing a
service not specifically requested but
simply offered to users.
These cookie(s) are used to
customize and remember the settings that a user has applied to a
customized RegisterONE account(such as layout, font size,
colors, etc.), to recall a preference
so that users are no longer requested to resubmit or fill out a
questionnaire or authorized user form again (autofill, legal
agreements assent, etc.), detect if a service has already been
offered, provide information to allow
access to an optional service (such as the offer of a live chat
session), fulfil a user request (Such as submitting a comment).
This is the "remember me" function for user name and password
authentication for when
you wish to automatically log in.
Statistics,
Performance or Anonymous Analytical Cookies
These cookies can be session
or persistent based (Analytics with no personal identifier(s)),
compiled from all RegisterONE users and aggregated to help
understand RegisterONE usage patterns,
system diagnostics (Errors), etc. Their use is limited to the
performance and improvement of the RegisterONE features, such as
collecting information on how a visitor uses the Website. They
can do, for example, web analytics,
error handling, or to test different RegisterONE page
structures, etc.
These cookies do not collect
information that can identify you, as all information collected
by them are aggregated in an anonymous format and are only used
to improve the functionality
and ease of use of the website.
We use Google
Analytics for statistical purposes for internal use only.
